AED offers programs to assist pre-med students in finding opportunities to gain experience in clinical care, research, and community service.
Physician and Surgeon Shadowing
|
Our physician and surgeon shadowing programs are designed to help students gain exposure to various medical professions before going through the application process. These program will help you find a physician to observe during rounds, performing examinations, or in surgery as well as provide you with opportunities to discuss their medical school experience. We encourage those who know physicians to ask them if they would be willing to participate in the program. Participation in the program is coordinated on an individual basis. Please contact any of the following AED officers to make arrangements to start reaping the rewards of observing physicians at work. For those of us who have participated in this program, it has been the best experience in our pre-med careers. We are confident that you will find it a valuable tool to help you make your decisions about a career in medicine.
