"How To" Clinics and Workshops

Programs are offered for a variety of outdoor skills and activities. They are designed to introduce the participant to new outdoor activities. Clinics and workshops stress basic skills, safety and environmental awareness.

Speaker and Presentations

Each year many programs are scheduled to provide information and entertainment. Annual presentations include the Banff Festival of Mountain Films World Tour, and Banff's Radical Reels show for those who crave more adrenaline.  Each year we also present slide shows and lectures.  Past presentions have included climber Lynn Hill, mountaineers Reinhold Messner and Ed Viestures and local hero Conrad Anker, along with many others.

Volunteer and Employment Opportunities

The ORP is always looking for students, faculty and staff who are interested in working with our program as Volunteer Trip Coordinators.

If you are outgoing, friendly, have a good head on your shoulders, and have some outdoor skills that you would like to share with others, give us a call at (801) 581-8516.

The ORP also has frequent openings in the Equipment Rental Shop.  Although we are currently fully staffed,  you can always send a cover letter and resume to rjones@crs.utah.edu if you are interested in possibly working with people here on campus.
