60th National Day Celebration Party Program Review

Call For Participation

Year 2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. It is also a year of remarkable advancement in the cooperation between China and the United States. To celebrate together, we CSSAUU, together with CSSA at BYU, USU and Utah local Chinese Community, plan to hold 'Utah Chinese Joint Celebration of P. R. China’s 60th Anniversary'(国庆六十周年犹他华人联欢会)- in the Ballroom of the Union Building on the campus of the University of Utah from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Many honored guests, including people from China Embassy, Utah State government and presidents of three universities, will be invited to this celebration party.

For a better celebration event, we preparation committee has formed a Program Review Team, which is composed of 8 experienced people. We plan to review all the programs This Saturday (Aug. 15th) Evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Location is Union Den Room (Union Building First Floor). So please be prepared to be there on time so we can review all programs efficiently. Besides, you're also welcome to forward this message to anyone or group who is interested in performing at our party. All groups from any countries or nations are welcome. Due to limited funding, performers will not get paid. But food will be supplied at the celebration party for all working staff and performers.

For your convenience, you may either come as group and do a live performance, OR, you may simply bring a video recording of your performance on Saturday for the reviewers to evaluate.  The video should be taken recently and should be a recording of the program. You would be actually performing for the celebration event.  It would be preferred if you could load your recording in your flash drive or CD or DVD so that we could watch it on the computer.
