| With the receipt of a $200,000 grant from Asian philanthropist Li Ka-shing, the University of Utah's Hinckley Institute of Politics will formalize an international internship program this fall. The grant will be used to further U students" training in international affairs and global business as well as foster greater understanding among peoples, foreign cultures and governments. |

| A new calendar of events has been created to become a central resource for organizations around campus to post their international events. This calendar makes it easier for academic units to annouce and promote their upcoming lectures, conferences, etc. |

In some places in higher education, teaching the broad topic of globalization has opened up a platform for narrow, political agendas. This is not the case at UVSC. |
