Visiting Fulbright Fellows Program

Announcement:

The University of Utah announces a Visiting Fulbright Fellows Program to help support the growth of a diverse population of students who contribute to an environment of intellectual and cross-cultural exchange. 

Fee & Tuition Waiver:
Students participating in the program receive a living stipend from the Fulbright foundation, and the host university covers their tuition and fees.  In accordance with its strategic initiative to foster international perspectives on its campus, the University of Utah will provide a tuition and fees waiver for up to twelve (12) Fulbright scholars in any discipline.

Fulbright Fellows & Scholars Receive:

  • A full tuition waiver from the U of U
  • A full fee waiver, which includes special course fees, lab fees, differential tuition, etc. from the U of U
  • A living stipend through the Fulbright foundation

Fulbright Fellows & Scholars Responsibilities:

  • A student visa through the Fulbright Foreign Student Program
  • Course books, texts, and key deposits
  • Personal medical insurance
  • Suitable living accommodations
  • Finances and other personal expenses

Application Process:
The Office of International Programs (OIP) will review departmental online applications as they are received.  Departments are encouraged to apply with a previously identified potential Fulbright candidate.  The deadline for Fall 2008 applications is April 1, 2008.  Applications can be found at:www.utah.edu/internationalprograms/fulbright/application.
