We
invite you and your family to experience the University of Utah in person.
This is an excellent way to discover all the opportunities
available to you and check the "fit" between you and the University.
A personal visit gives you insight to the University by interacting
with students, faculty, and staff, and allows you to check
out our facilities first hand.
A
typical campus visit includes:
- An information session with an admissions
counselor to discuss special academic opportunities, ways
to get involved on campus, scholarships, financial aid,
admission requirements, housing, Honor's Program, LEAP Program, Study Abroad, deadlines, and any other items of
interest to you.
- A campus tour with a current student to
see where you might be taking classes and having fun. This
is also a good time to find out what it's really like to
be a student at the U.
- A residence hall tour to explore where
you can live, learn and enjoy campus life to the fullest.
If
your time permits, you can also schedule:
- meetings with an academic advisor to learn
more about the major(s) you're interested in pursuing;
- classroom visits to experience what a class
at the U is really like; and
- overnight visits through our U-Night
Program to enjoy a more comprehensive University experience,
and discover what it's like to live in the residence halls.

Schedule Your Campus Visit
To sign up for an individual or group campus visit, please call our campus visit coordinator at (801) 581-8761 or at (800) 685-8856. If you're planning on visiting University of Utah's campus on the weekend, print out our self-guided
walking tour directions before you arrive.
Parking During Your Visit
Your visit will begin at the Office of Student Recruitment and High School Services, located on the west end, lower level of the Olpin Union Building (Room 80). You can park in visitor parking just east of the Olpin Union; validations, for your stay, will be provided at the end of your visit. Please do not park in any metered parking, since your visit will last longer than the metered time and it's likely you will be ticketed.
Staying Overnight?
If you plan to stay overnight in Salt Lake City, we recommend the University Guest House on the University of Utah's campus. The University Guest House offers wonderful accommodations at a reasonable price. (If the Univeristy Guest House is full - call the Office of Student Recruitment for other recommendations.) It's also minutes from the Office of Student Recruitment and High School Services, the TRAX line, and many campus activities.
