The U of U Staff Council's University Service Selection Committee has been charged with the responsibility of recommending staff candidates for certain University committees. Annually, some of the members of each committee are released from service and new members are selected to fill the vacancies. Click here for a description of each committee with staff members. University committees provide an invaluable service to staff, faculty, students and the University. The committees need self-motivated staff employees who want to improve the University, enjoy working with others to “make a difference,” have an open mind, and are able to serve. In addition to improving the University, service on these committees can be very enjoyable, interesting and rewarding.
All regular, full time (.75 FTE or greater) staff employees who have completed their probationary period of employment, and all .50 FTE staff employees who are eligible for benefits can apply or be nominated for committee service.
The electronic form below can be used to submit your own application or it can be used to nominate someone else. If you would prefer to submit a paper application or nomination, click here for paper submittal instructions. UUSAC will accept applications and nominations for committee service until
5:00 PM, Friday, May 5, 2006, for the committees listed in the drop box below. After the Selection Committee has reviewed all applications, the appropriate administrator in charge of each committee (i.e., University President, Vice President, or committee chair, etc.) will make the actual appointments.
After filling out this form, please re-read your entries to be certain they are complete and correct, then press the “Send Form to Selection Committee” button at the bottom of the page to submit your application.
NOTE: This form is ONLY to be used to submit applications/nominations of U of U STAFF for University committees. Applications/nominations of faculty should be made through the Personnel and Elections Committee. Applications/nominations of students should be made through ASUU.
