What is StatCenter?

• Resources StatCenter is a set of diverse resources for teaching and learning introductory statistics over the web. It is not a stand-alone course which teaches statistics and delivers credit. It is meant to support teachers and students with already-existing classes.
  
  
• Modes StatCenter has three modes. Its features can be accessed by Menus or Map or through movement in a Virtual Campus.
  
  
• Features The major features of StatCenter are computer-graded Homework, Class Materials, Virtual Research Labs, Tutorials, Training in Mathematical Thinking, Student Projects, Message Boards, Chat Areas, Web Resource Links. Each of these is explained at the Menu of StatCenter Features.
  
  
• Early Development StatCenter is in early development. What you are interacting with is a pre-alpha test version which changes nearly daily. Some days a given function (e.g., Homework or Class Materials) may work more or less well.
