Need Volunteers
The College of Engineering will be hosting 3 sessions at the Defining Your Path (DYP) Conference on October 17th. DYP is a conference that targets 8th grade girls and is focused on introducing career opportunities to young women and bolstering their self-esteem. As you may or may not know, research indicates a tremendous drop-off in girls pursuing math/science after 8th grade. I am looking for 2-3 women who would be willing to assist me with an activity/presentation on engineering and interact with the girls.Time obligation will be between 8:30 and 12:30. Please contact Deidre if you are interested in volunteering for this event.
