November 5, 2002 -- Visiting artist Juergen Strunck will deliver
a lecture on his work Thursday, November 14, 2002, at 4:30 p.m.
in the Art and Architecture Building, Room 158. This presentation
is sponsored by the Department of Art and Art History through
a University teaching grant.
Strunck is a professor at the University of Dallas, Texas, who
has shown nationally and internationally (including Germany, Scotland,
Egypt, Brazil, Great Britain, Japan, and many other locations).
His prints are in the collections of many institutions, such as
the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Library of Congress, the
Utah Museum of Fine Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Graphic
Art-Norway.
In a workshop offered through the printmaking department, Strunck
will spend one week working with the area head of printmaking,
Asst. Professor Justin Diggle, and printmaking students to produce
an edition of prints.
