Link Error Check

Enter site url:
spacer Example: www.kued.org

Instructions:

  • The site or url you specify above must have been indexed by the U's search engine.

  • Do not include http:// as part of your url.

  • The Results are based on the last complete error log, which was generated on the previous day.

  • The Results show errors your server returns, but the bad links may come from elsewhere outside of your site. If you need to find out where the bad links are from, click on the link itself to get a list of referring urls.

  • To find out whether you have been indexed or not, go to the U's search engine help page http://search.utah.edu:8765/ and select HELP, or go to http://search.utah.edu:8765/help/ directly. Select URL status. Type in your root url. If your site has been indexed, this method will let you view a full report of your status, including when it was last indexed and when the next revisit will be. If you are not indexed, the response will be: Not indexed. Not in url database.

  • To see a list of explanations to the numeric status code to HTTP requests (i.e. 403, 404), please go to http://www.w3.org/Protocols/HTTP/HTRESP.html.
