Training Opportunities

The U provides many educational opportunities for campus webmasters and others responsible for supporting and maintaining organizational websites:

 

Utah Training Consortium
Searchable catalog of all U training courses in one convenient location. From there you can learn which organizations on campus offer training in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, CSS, etc. The site also provides tips and resources for U trainers.

 

Continuing Education Technology Computer Classes
Individual classes and professional certification in computer design, programming, and internet communications.

 

Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library
The Eccles Health Sciences Library offers a variety of classes & workshops to University students, faculty & staff.

 

J. Willard Marriott Library
A variety of short classes, for-credit courses, and self guided tutorials are available on topics ranging from internet navigation and basic HTML to building websites using Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop.

 

Technology Assisted Curriculum Center (TACC)
TAC Center consultants provide many training opportunities for faculty. In addition to the Workshops that we offer every semester, we provide one-on-one training sessions. These sessions can be individualized depending on your needs. Training sessions can include instruction on software, hardware, online education, etc.

 

The Utah Education Network
UEN is committed to serving the educational technology needs for Utah's public and higher education institutions, public libraries, and state agencies. UEN Professional Development offers workshops and training in a variety of web and internet related technology issues.

 

Webmaster Forums
Sponsored by the V.P. for Academic Affairs and the Office of Information Technology, the annual webmaster forum is held each fall for members of the U Web Community. Presentation materials from past forums are available online.
