Did You Know?

Women comprise only 44.5%
of the undergraduate student population at the University of Utah. Nationally, 56% of undergraduates are women. The UUWC is addressing this issue by offering scholarships to women in their junior and senior years at the University of Utah

Welcome to the new UUWC Web site!

The UUWC is a nonprofit organization operated exclusively for charitable, cultural and educational purposes. Its programs and activities bring together women with diverse interests and diverse roles in the University community to promote interest in and support for the University of Utah. The club offers scholarships to full-time upper-level undergraduate women studying at the University.

General meetings are held on campus on the second Monday in October, November, February, March, and May. The meetings are generally scheduled at 1:00 PM and feature lectures by experts from the University and from the wider community. Music may be performed by faculty and students in the University’s School of Music. Club members, their guests, and current and retired faculty and staff are invited to attend. (See Calendar of Events for more information.)

This year, three events will be held at the Rosenblatt House, home of the president of the University and his family. They include the September Membership Tea, the November Centennial Gala meeting, and the December Holiday Tea.

Interest groups, or “sections,” meet regularly during the academic year. Sections include Literature, Music, Book Club, Bridge, Lunch Bunch, Art Study and Friends and Food on Friday. Members may attend as many of these meetings as they wish.
