Did You Know?

In 1933 a student loan fund (now a scholarship fund) was established to honor women students for their achievements. In 1982 the UUWC established an Endowed Scholarship Fund. Since 1983, a total of 159 scholarships have been awarded, including 14 for the 2007-2008 academic year.

The UUWC offers scholarships to women in any academic discipline who are full-time students in their junior or senior year. Applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Academic performance
  • Participation in service, community and campus activities
  • Individual non-academic activities
  • Future goals and plans

The UUWC Scholarship Application form (updated yearly)
is available for download here and is available at the Office of Financial Aids and Scholarships and can be picked up after January 10, 2009.

The deadline date for application for the scholarship for 2009-2010 academic year is March 4, 2009.
