Did You Know?

In 1933 a student loan fund (now a scholarship fund) was established to honor women students for their achievements. In 1982 the UUWC established an Endowed Scholarship Fund. Since 1983, a total of 190 scholarships have been awarded, including 15 for the Fall and Spring semesters of 2009-2010.

2009-2010 Scholarship Recipients

The UUWC offers scholarships to women in any academic discipline who are full-time students in their junior or senior year. Applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Academic performance
  • Participation in service, community and campus activities
  • Individual non-academic activities
  • Future goals and plans

The UUWC Scholarship Application form is updated yearly
and is available at the Financial Aid and Scholarships website.

The application deadline for 2012-2013 is February 2, 2012.
